Full Specialist (Nails/Skin/Makeup)

The course prepares students to become a registered full specialist in the state of Florida. The advantage of a full-specialist license is that an operator is licensed to do both skin and nails. In the state of Florida, the nail specialist program alone doesn’t cover waxing, but skin care does, so many prospective nail technicians take this program to have one single license that covers skin, nails, and waxing.

What To Expect in Our Program

The objective of the Full Specialist Curriculum is to train students in skin care, nail care and makeup artistry. The complete program consists of 880 hours of training including 260 hours of skin care training, 240 hours of training in nail structures and manicuring techniques and 380 hours of training in makeup artistry. The Freelance Makeup Artistry portion of the curriculum includes 3 modules; Fashion & Beauty Makeup Course, HD Airbrushing & Hairstyling.

This course prepares students to become a registered full specialist in the state of Florida. Academic & Practical Learning methods include Discussion, questioning and answering, demonstration, cooperative learning, problem solving, interactive lecture, individualized instruction, student & classroom presentations, labs & student salon activities.

The school offers a 880-hour training program that includes 503 hours of theory and 377 hours of supervised practical training that meets Florida state standards including 100 hours of theory and 140 hours of supervised practical training.
