Learn Skin Care & Aesthetics

Our Boynton Beach, Florida campus offers a 300 hour Skin Care program that leads to licensure as a Florida Facial Specialist. This program covers both fundamental skin care techniques, advanced aesthetics treatments, and non-invasive bodysculpting treatments. Students learn with both theory, teacher demonstrations, and practical hands-on training in a simulated clinical spa classroom. There is no Florida State Board exam for Facial Specialist (skin care) licensure.

Our Boynton Beach, Florida campus also offers a 600 hour program called Facial Specialist & Freelance Makeup. This program provides aspiring skin care specialists with a Master Aesthetician certification as well as a PRO Makeup Artistry Certification and includes a 150 hour module that focuses on makeup and cosmetic application. Students receive a MAC Cosmetics PRO Student Kit.

This program is also offered in New Jersey. The official program name in New Jersey is “Skin Care” and the requirement to become a NJ Licensed Skin Care Specialist is 600 hours. This program is broken down as 450 hours of Skin Care training and 150 hours of Makeup Artistry training.

What To Expect in Our Skin Care Program

The objective of the Skin Care Curriculum is to train students in skin care and make-up artistry. The complete program consists of 300 hours of instructions including training in the areas of skin care and makeup techniques.

The course prepares students to become a registered facial specialist in the state of Florida. Academic & Practical Learning methods include Discussion, questioning and answering, demonstration, cooperative learning, problem solving, interactive lecture, individualized instruction, student & classroom presentations, labs & student salon activities.
