How to Take Your Skincare Routine from Fall to Winter
Even subtle changes in the season can impact your skin in big ways. Being able to transition your skincare routine to ensure your skin’s overall health throughout the year is so important. With fall coming to a close and winter temperatures approaching, we want to show you how you can take your skincare routine from fall to winter.
Moisturize | Moisturize, moisturize, moisturize. We cannot stress this enough. If you’ve been following your beauty routine, you’ve probably been doing this already. However, as the temperature begins to drop and snow begins to fall (unless you’re located in our South Florida campus!), your skin is going to sense a shift. Lathering up on moisturizer will help your skin from becoming dehydrated and dry. Switching to a heavier moisturizer when the weather cools down will be imperative in keeping your skin healthy.
Face Masks | Another way to help update your routine is to try is a face mask. As the season changes, dryness, redness, and sensitivity can irritate your skin. With so many different kinds of face masks on the market, there’s a face mask that will satisfy any and all of your needs.
Exfoliate! | And don’t forget that exfoliation is key! Help cleanse your skin and try exfoliating once or twice a week this season as it will help remove the dead skin from your face and give you a clean polished look.
Use Sunscreen | Using SPF is just as important year-round as it is during the summer. Keeping your skin protected rain or shine is necessary because your skin can still be impacted by the sun regardless of the weather. It is recommended to wear at least a SPF 15.
Perfecting your skin care routine can be tough, but with these additions your skin will be perfect transitioning from fall to winter.
